PPF is used as the unit for plant growing. PPF is the total photon amount between 400 - 700nm on the LED SPD.

Chlorophyll a and chlo are the main photoreceptors for photosynthesis, and they don‘t absorb photons between 510 - 610nm.

The amount of phton flux or absorption is between 400~510nm(chlorophyll a) and 610~700nm(chlorophyll b), ALPHABET calls it “Active PPF(A-PPF)”. Alphabet’s horticulture series is designed to be a superior spectrum for higher efficient photosynthesis by using unique blue diodes while correcting the visual light using phosphor conversion technology.

Most grow lights have an annoying magenta color changing the visual spectrum in the space and on the plants themselves. This forces a separate installation of white lights alongside the grow lights. ALPHABET provides a single source of light with very minimal change in Chlorophyll absorption versus deep pink alternatives. The visual observation is critical with indoor growing.
